The main goal of the project:

The main goal of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the cross-border region and develop tourist destinations by creating unique tourist attractions and developing tourist infrastructure.

A tourist information centre and museum will be created in the village of Sadellö, located in the Slovak Karst. On the Hungarian side, a modern flying attraction, Sky Rider, will be created in Szabolcsveresmart, near Lake Rétközi.

The tender focuses on the creation of new tourist attractions and the development of tourist infrastructure in the selected sites. The developments will ensure the competitive advantage of the destinations and will be a significant motivating force for tourists. The creation of tourism developments is expected to increase the number of visitors to both destinations, which will lead to a greater focus on the destinations concerned. As a result of the tender, we also expect an increase in the length of stay of tourists.

The expected results of the project are:

Thanks to the investment of the Let's Build a City Foundation, a number of very interesting tourist attractions will be created, the centrepiece of which will be the Sky Rider, a unique tourist attraction in Central Europe. The Sky Rider will be located on the shores of Lake Rétközi, from where visitors will be able to slide down a nearly 100-metre-long track. This tourist attraction will be accompanied by an environmental rehabilitation project that will be in keeping with the natural character of the lakeside, while serving the expected visitor traffic and creating a worthy environment for the complex.

The results of the project are greatly influenced by its cross-border nature. The partners plan to implement a joint marketing campaign in order to increase the number of tourists from both countries in the cross-border destinations concerned. The partners have decided to introduce a tourist card, which will offer a 5% discount on the price of admission tickets at the places where the card is accepted.
